| Sat Aug 14 | Back to School & Kids Safety Day - Come to the mall for a day full of fun activities and beneficial information preparing students for the school year! Confirmed participants include: Carl Sandburg College, Food Allergy Community Awareness, Laser Mark, YMCA, Catholic Charities, Dick Blick Art Materials, Onesimus Martial Arts, Judy's Dance Studio, Galesburg Public Library, Associated Bank, Galesburg Hospital Ambulance Service, Knox County Health Dept. and Discovery Depot. More organizations and businesses to be added! Pizza will be available for purchase from Domino's. Students may register for a chance to win a prize. One lucky student will win a $50 Sandburg Mall Gift Certificate. Face painting provided by Alethea Penleric. There will also be a Dora the Explorer Bounce House setup for children to enjoy. | Sat Aug 14 & Sun Aug 15 | Gift with Purchase Promotion - Get ready to go back to school with Sandburg Mall and receive a FREE gift just for shopping! On Aug 14 or Aug 15, bring your same day mall store receipts totaling $50 to Customer Service and receive a FREE $5 Sandburg Mall Gift Certificate. The gift certificate may be redeemed in any mall store. Regulations: *Customers do not receive an additional gift certificate for spending over $50. A $100 purchase does not qualify a customer for two gift certificates. *To receive a $5 mall gift certificate, receipt totals must be from the same day, Aug 14 or Aug 15. | Sat Sept 18 | AIDS Walk Galesburg 2010 - Come participate in Galesburg's 1st annual AIDS Walk. The walk will be 1.4 miles and should take about an hour for all walkers to finish the course. Participants with less than $200 in pledges will be charged a $15 registration fee. Refreshments will be available before, during and after the walk and along the course. The HIV/AIDS Task Force of Western Illinois donates the proceeds from the walk to the Central Illinois Friends of PWA and that money comes back to those affected with HIV/AIDS in Knox & Warren Counties. Awards will be given to individuals and teams who raised the most money. Actual prizes will be determined at a later date, but will include merchandise and gift certificates. Walker participation packets are now available at the mall Customer Service Desk (located in Bergner's Court). | Sat Oct 23 | Halloween Event - Bring the kids for a spooky day full of activities! Children may come dressed in costume. | Sat Nov 6 | Doll Show & Sale - View and buy beautiful dolls, old and new at the Warren County Doll Club's Antique & Modern Doll Show. Dolls and toys for sale will include modern antique and fashion dolls, including Barbie & Pullip and other collectibles. A portion of the proceeds go to a local charity. | Sat Nov 6 | Quilts of Valor - Individuals may assist in sewing quilt blocks that will be added to quilts, which will then be sent to wounded American soldiers recovering in Germany. Each quilt carries a tag stating it was made in Illinois with the hometown listed, as well. Persons wishing to participate in the project do not need to know how to sew. There will also be quilt squares available to add your personal message for a soldier. There is no fee to participate in the event. Fees: $20 for a single 8 ft. table, $36 for a 10'x8' two table booth, $54 for a 10'x10.5' three table booth, and $72 for a 10'x16' four table booth.
